Nurture Fertility Clinic

Set in the countryside of north Cornwall, Nurture is a cutting-edge fertility clinic, unique in that it will incorporate nature, and it's surroundings into the design. Through synergising with nature, the clinic aims to provide a holistic approach to fertility care, providing a restorative environment in which to receive treatments.

The design strategy for Nurture is to create a space which functions to complement the fertility clinic's medical services through harnessing natures healing abilities, providing a space which facilitates the health, wellness, and emotional needs of individuals visiting. By incorporating biophilic principles, the fertility clinic will offer a beautiful place that is soothing, calming, and functional.

Across the site, the design looks to minimise environmental impact of the fertility clinic while enhancing biodiversity. The car park reduces pollution by incorporating Sustainable Urban Drainage Systems into the design, including permeable surfaces to reduce runoff and vegetated areas to capture and filter stormwater. Wetlands are established with planting selected to enhance the site’s biodiversity and create a landscape thriving with life, mimicking the characteristics of natural wetlands.
